on Obama victory

Apropos of the news and analysis on Obama victory appeared in your esteem publication and elsewhere, it seems that the finest hour of Indian democracy in electing Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam as the President of India, long before the Obama precedent in US, has lost the sight of our eminent observers. While Obama has been a senator, Kalam was not baptized in electoral politics at all; although belonged to minority community and to the remotest rural habitat , but was loved and admired by one and all, not only in India but has earned the name globally in spirit; was opposed by the pseudo secularists but supported by the often accused communalists, a great fallacy indeed.
